Fresh Tensions Emerge Along the LoC Despite Ceasefire Agreement

New Delhi, May 10 – Just hours after a ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan came into effect, tensions resurfaced along the Line of Control (LoC), casting doubt over the durability of the peace effort.

The ceasefire, which was agreed upon by the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both countries, was set to begin at 5 PM on Saturday. It covered an immediate stop to all military action across land, air, and sea. However, despite the formal agreement, reports from border regions suggest that violations occurred, leading to renewed anxiety among residents in the affected areas.
