Minor girl dies, mother injured in Chadoora road accident
A 10-year-old girl died while her mother sustained injuries after being hit by a motorcycle near village Bugam in the Chadoora area of the Budgam district on Monday afternoon.
Srinagar, February 16: A 10-year-old girl died while her mother sustained injuries after being hit by a motorcycle near village Bugam in the Chadoora area of the Budgam district on Monday afternoon.
According to an official, a motorcycle with registration number JK04K-4569 struck a minor identified as Qaira Mushtaq, daughter of Mushtaq Ahmad Kumar, a resident of Kultreh Chadoora. Her mother also sustained injuries in the incident.
Both the injured were immediately taken to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) in Chadoora for treatment, where Qaira succumbed to her injuries. The injured woman was later referred to the Bone and Joint Hospital in Srinagar for specialized treatment.
The police have taken cognizance of the incident and have initiated further proceedings.
