In an impressive display of disciplined bowling, South Africa bundled out England for a mere 179 runs in just 38.2 overs during their Champions Trophy Group B encounter in Karachi on Saturday.

South Africa's pace spearhead, Marco Jansen, led the early attack, claiming three crucial wickets for just 39 runs. His fiery opening spell reduced England to 37/3 within the first seven overs, setting the tone for the match. England's batting lineup struggled throughout, failing to mount any substantial partnership or recovery.

Joe Root emerged as England's top scorer with a modest 37 runs. Other notable batters such as captain Jos Buttler (21), Ben Duckett (24), and Jofra Archer (25) all got starts but were unable to convert these into impactful innings.

Wiaan Mulder played an equally vital role alongside Jansen, capturing three wickets for just 25 runs. Spinner Keshav Maharaj contributed effectively, claiming two wickets for 35 runs.

With a relatively low target ahead, South Africa now has a golden opportunity to seal a significant win early in the tournament.
