The Border Security Force (BSF) organized an apiculture training program in Arnia, Jammu, as part of its Civic Action Program, aimed at promoting self-employment and sustainable livelihoods among residents living near the border.

A total of 22 villagers from border areas participated in the initiative. During the program, experts provided hands-on training in scientific beekeeping practices, honey extraction methods, and effective marketing techniques.

The training was designed to equip participants with practical skills to generate additional income and create self-sustaining livelihood opportunities. By introducing scientific methods and market-oriented approaches, the program aims to enhance productivity and improve the economic prospects of families living in remote border villages.

BSF officials stated that such initiatives not only empower local communities through alternative income sources but also help strengthen community relations. They added that the Civic Action Program plays a significant role in supporting socio-economic development in border areas while fostering trust and cooperation between security forces and local residents.
