The Border Security Force (BSF) organized a "Nasha Mukti Abhiyan" (Drug-Free Campaign) as part of its Civic Action Programme in Khet Village, Tehsil Mandi, in the Poonch district, reaffirming its commitment to building a drug-free society.
The programme saw enthusiastic participation from local students and residents. Activities included an essay-writing competition and student speeches highlighting the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of avoiding narcotics.
BSF medical officers conducted awareness sessions on drug abuse and also provided practical demonstrations on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), educating participants about life-saving techniques during emergencies.
As part of the initiative, "Nasha Mukti"-themed T-shirts and caps were distributed to the participants to reinforce the message of a healthy and drug-free society.
The locals appreciated the BSF's efforts in raising awareness and engaging the youth in constructive activities under its Civic Action Programme.
