Clashes between two groups over installation of flags in Jharkhand's Hazaribag

Hazaribag, Jharkhand – February 26: A violent clash erupted between two groups in Dumraon village, Hazaribag district, over the installation of religious flags and a loudspeaker during Maha Shivratri celebrations. The dispute, which took place on Wednesday near a school within the Ichak police station limits, escalated into a brick-pelting confrontation, leaving several people injured.

According to police reports, the altercation began when one group objected to the placement of religious symbols and sound equipment by members of another community. As tensions flared, the situation quickly spiraled into violence, with multiple two-wheelers set ablaze in the chaos.

Senior police officials swiftly intervened, deploying adequate security forces to the scene. Authorities resorted to using force to disperse the clashing groups and restore order. While the situation remains tense, law enforcement has confirmed that it is now under control, with additional personnel stationed in the area to prevent further unrest.
