Class 11 Student Killed in Broad Daylight Near AMU ABK Union School

Aligarh, March 1: A shocking case of daylight violence unfolded near the AMU ABK Union School on Saturday, resulting in the death of a Class 11 student, Mohammad Kaif. The police have launched an investigation into the incident, which has sent shockwaves through the local community.

According to Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Proctor Mohamad Waseem Ali, CCTV footage captured the horrifying sequence of events. Kaif, a student at Sayed Hamid Senior Secondary School (Boys), was sitting on his scooter with three others when a group of men approached them. An altercation broke out, during which one of the attackers opened fire on Kaif and also assaulted him with a sharp weapon.

As bystanders raised an alarm, the assailants fled the scene before university security and police personnel could intervene. Kaif was rushed to Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Civil Lines Circle Officer Abhay Pandey confirmed that the police are in the process of registering an FIR based on the complaint lodged by the victim’s family. Investigations are underway to identify and apprehend the culprits responsible for the brutal attack.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as they intensify their efforts to bring justice to the victim’s family. The incident has heightened concerns over student safety in the region, prompting calls for stricter security measures around educational institutions.
