New Delhi, February 9 Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated the latest medical infrastructure, including a CT scanner and a neurological cath lab, at GB Pant Hospital on Monday, stating that her government is striving to provide world-class healthcare facilities to the people of Delhi.
The computerized tomography (CT) scanner, the latest in North India, will help in the rapid detection of neurological and cardiac disorders and cancer, proving to be a crucial life-saving measure, she said.
The mono-plane neurological cath lab, inaugurated by the CM, was described by her as a significant advancement in the healthcare facilities available at the hospital, which was established in 1964.
She also inaugurated a revamped 16-bed neuro intensive care unit (ICU), adding that all three facilities were developed at a cost of Rs 31 crore.
Gupta stated that all hospitals in Delhi should have such advanced medical infrastructure to make the city a healthcare hub.
