New Delhi, Feb 27: Copper futures edged lower on Thursday, slipping 0.14% to ₹863.10 per kilogram, as traders trimmed their positions due to subdued demand in the domestic market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for March delivery declined by ₹1.20, or 0.14%, to ₹863.10 per kg in a trading volume of 5,636 lots.

Market analysts attributed the price dip to reduced speculative interest and weak demand in the spot market, leading to a cautious approach among investors.

Market Outlook

The decline reflects broader sentiment in the base metals segment, where demand dynamics and global cues continue to influence price movements. Investors remain watchful of supply chain trends and industrial consumption, which could dictate future price action.
