New Delhi, Feb 3 (PTI): Coriander prices saw an upward trend on Monday, increasing by ₹20 to reach ₹8,166 per quintal in futures trade. The surge was driven by speculative buying as traders responded to strong demand and limited supply in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), coriander contracts for April delivery registered a gain of ₹20, or 0.24%, settling at ₹8,166 per quintal in 20,785 lots.

Market analysts attributed the price rise to restricted supplies from key producing regions and a firm trend in the spot market, which encouraged traders to expand their holdings.
