New Delhi, February 16 Prices of cottonseed oil cake fell to Rs 3,186 per quintal on Monday in futures trading as participants reduced their positions, following weak trends in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for February delivery fell by Rs 32, or 0.99 per cent, to Rs 3,186 per quintal with an open interest of 8,640 lots. On Friday, it had closed at Rs 3,218 per quintal.
Similarly, the March contract also slipped by Rs 27, or 0.83 per cent, to Rs 3,220 per quintal in 54,980 lots. It had settled at Rs 3,247 per quintal in the previous session.
Analysts said a sell-off by participants at existing levels, amid a subdued market trend, weighed on cottonseed oil cake prices.
