Damoh (Madhya Pradesh), May 11 – In a tragic road accident, three members of a family were killed on Sunday afternoon after their two-wheeler was hit by a speeding truck near Ram Kuti in Damoh district, police said.
The deceased have been identified as Karodi Patel (45), his wife Yashoda (40), and their daughter Arati Patel (17). According to City Superintendent of Police Abhishek Tiwari, the family was travelling from Bamuria to Kushunganj village to attend a wedding when the fatal collision occurred.
The impact of the crash killed all three on the spot. Police said the truck driver fled the scene immediately after the accident. However, the vehicle was later intercepted near Imlai village. The driver managed to escape, abandoning the truck.
Authorities have launched a manhunt to trace the absconding driver. Further investigation is underway.
