New Delhi, February 13 Crude oil prices saw a marginal decline of Rs 2 to Rs 5,699 per barrel in futures trading on Friday, as weak global trends and concerns about oversupply weighed on prices.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil futures for March delivery declined by Rs 2, or 0.04 per cent, to Rs 5,699 per barrel in a trading volume of 1,013 lots.
Analysts said the prices fell as participants offloaded their holdings due to weak demand in the spot market.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was trading 0.29 per cent lower at USD 62.66 per barrel, while Brent Crude fell 0.21 per cent to USD 67.38 per barrel in New York.
