New Delhi, Feb 27: Crude oil prices saw a modest rise of ₹15, reaching ₹6,015 per barrel in futures trading on Thursday, as traders increased their positions amid robust spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), crude oil futures for March delivery gained 0.25%, trading at ₹6,015 per barrel in 4,778 lots. Analysts attributed the uptick to heightened speculative activity and increased bets by market participants.
On the global front, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude registered a 0.44% increase, trading at $68.92 per barrel, while Brent crude rose 0.37% to $72.80 per barrel in New York.
The firming prices suggest continued investor interest, driven by global supply-demand dynamics and market sentiment.
