New Delhi, Feb 3 (PTI) – The ICC Champions Trophy trophy tour wrapped up its Indian leg after making stops in Mumbai and Bengaluru, marking the final phase before the tournament kicks off on February 19.

The highly anticipated eight-team 50-over tournament is set to take place in Pakistan and Dubai from February 19 to March 9. The International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed on Monday that the trophy had successfully toured all participating nations and would now travel to its final destination, Pakistan.

As part of its Mumbai leg, the trophy was showcased at several iconic locations, including the Wankhede Stadium, Shivaji Park, the Gateway of India, Carter Road, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, and Bandstand. It was also prominently displayed during the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the Wankhede Stadium.

In Bengaluru, the prestigious silverware visited major landmarks such as Nexus Shantiniketan Mall, Bengaluru Palace, Freedom Park, KR Market, Town Hall, St. Mary’s Basilica, M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Church Street, and the renowned Vidyarthi Bhavan.

With the conclusion of its tour in India, the trophy is now en route to Pakistan, where excitement continues to build ahead of the tournament’s grand opening.
