KATHUA, FEBRUARY 12: Sanjay Kumar, a progressive farmer from Dadwara village, Billawar, has cultivated over one lakh vegetable nursery plants, promoting local agricultural production.
The nursery, established under the HADP program with three polyhouses, produces varieties such as cucumber, bottle gourd, eggplant, bitter gourd, ladyfinger, and other hybrid vegetables for local markets.
DDC member Vikram Singh, Tehsildar Ajay Kumar, and former MC Chairman Om Kant Basotra inaugurated the distribution of free nursery plants to 100 farmers. Vikram Singh praised Sanjay Kumar as a role model for the youth and for promoting agriculture in hilly areas.
