Datta Power Infra Private Limited announced on Friday that one of its group firms has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to supply electricity generated from its upcoming 50-MW wind energy project.

This wind energy initiative is a key part of SECI's Tranche-XVII scheme, which aims to establish 500 MW of Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected wind power capacity nationwide.

Highlighting the significance of this partnership, Varchasvi Gagal, CEO & Managing Director of Datta Power Infra Pvt Ltd, stated, "This PPA is a significant step in our commitment to supporting the nation's renewable energy objectives and building a greener, more sustainable future."

Datta Power Infra emphasized that this agreement underscores its continuous efforts to provide clean and sustainable energy solutions on a large scale. The wind energy project aligns directly with the central government's broader strategy to increase India's renewable energy capacity, playing an essential role in achieving the ambitious target of installing 500 GW of non-fossil fuel-based energy by 2030.

Furthermore, the project is expected to substantially contribute to India's climate goals by significantly reducing carbon emissions, thus enhancing national energy security and sustainability.

Through strategic investments in renewable projects such as this, Datta Power Infra continues to strengthen its position in India's clean energy sector while directly contributing to environmental sustainability and energy independence.
