Hoshiarpur, Punjab — May 10: Debris from unidentified projectiles was discovered in two villages of Hoshiarpur district on Saturday morning, officials confirmed. The incident has raised concerns amid escalating tensions along the India-Pakistan border.

According to Mukesh Kumar, Superintendent of Police (Investigation), the wreckage was recovered from Sikri and Sandhra villages. Fortunately, no casualties or damage to property have been reported.

In a swift response, local police alerted the Indian Air Force, which has initiated further investigation into the origins and nature of the objects.

Tanda Deputy Superintendent of Police Davinder Singh stated that the armed forces have taken custody of the debris for examination and safe disposal.

The development comes as India accused Pakistan of continuing its campaign of targeting civilians and infrastructure, particularly in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab.

The Indian armed forces had conducted precision strikes on Wednesday, targeting terror launchpads in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in retaliation for the April 22 Pahalgam attack, which was linked to cross-border terrorism.

Security forces continue to remain on high alert across border districts as tensions persist.
