Delhi Police Arrest Key Member of Hariya Gang Involved in Multiple Criminal Cases.webp

New Delhi, May 11 – The Delhi Police have apprehended a key member of the notorious Hariya Gang, Ramesh Ninama (25), who had been on the run for several criminal offenses, officials confirmed on Sunday.

Ramesh Ninama, a prominent figure in the criminal network, was linked to numerous criminal activities in Rajasthan and Delhi, including a 2021 case under the Arms Act. In December 2024, a city court had declared him a proclaimed offender. His associate, Sunil Ninama, also remains wanted in connection with a 2022 burglary case in Banswara.

In a significant breakthrough, police revealed that Ramesh Ninama had previously been arrested in January 2021 along with other gang members for planning a robbery on an ATM in Dwarka. However, after being granted bail, Ninama absconded and failed to appear for trial, which led to his continued fugitive status.

Following a tip-off, the Crime Branch successfully located and arrested Ramesh Ninama, along with his associate Sunil Ninama, on May 8 in Sewna village, Banswara. The arrest marks a crucial step in dismantling the Hariya Gang's operations, and further investigations are ongoing.

This arrest highlights the ongoing efforts of the Delhi Police to target and bring to justice individuals involved in high-profile criminal networks.
