New Delhi, Feb 26 – Delhi experienced a warmer-than-usual morning on Wednesday, with the minimum temperature settling at 15.4 degrees Celsius, which is 2.9 degrees above normal, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
At the Palam observatory, the night temperature was recorded at 17.0 degrees Celsius, marking an increase of 4.5 notches above the season’s average. The weather forecast for the day predicts cloudy skies with light drizzle, while the maximum temperature is expected to reach 28 degrees Celsius.
At 8:30 am, the humidity level in the national capital stood at 86 percent.
Meanwhile, Delhi's air quality remained in the ‘poor’ category, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 221, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
As per the AQI scale:
- 0-50 is considered ‘good’
- 51-100 is ‘satisfactory’
- 101-200 is ‘moderate’
- 201-300 is ‘poor’
- 301-400 is ‘very poor’
- 401-500 is ‘severe’
