New Delhi witnessed a chilly start to the week, with temperatures dropping to 9.6 degrees Celsius on Monday morning—3.8 degrees below the season’s average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
At 8:30 am, the relative humidity was reported at 75 per cent. Despite the cold morning, the IMD forecasted that daytime temperatures would significantly rise, reaching an expected high of 29 degrees Celsius later in the day.
Meanwhile, air quality in Delhi remained moderate. The city's Air Quality Index (AQI) was measured at 124 by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). According to CPCB standards, AQI levels ranging from 101 to 200 are classified as "moderate," signifying acceptable air quality with some pollutants that might cause minor breathing discomfort to sensitive individuals.
