New Delhi, May 12 – Delhi woke up to a pleasant morning on Monday as the minimum temperature settled at 24.4 degrees Celsius, slightly below the season’s average by one degree, according to the weather department.
Humidity levels stood at 57 per cent at 8:30 am, offering some relief from the usual dry summer air. The India Meteorological Department has forecast a partly cloudy sky throughout the day, with the maximum temperature likely to touch 39 degrees Celsius.
In terms of air quality, the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 137, placing it in the ‘moderate’ category, as per data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
For context, the CPCB categorizes AQI levels as follows:
- 0–50: Good
- 51–100: Satisfactory
- 101–200: Moderate
- 201–300: Poor
- 301–400: Very Poor
- 401–500: Severe
