Maha Shivratri was celebrated at the Gulmarg Shiva temple with devotion, as tourists, devotees, the army, and the Dharmarth Trust organized a communal meal (langar) amidst prayers, joy, and praise for the Kashmir region.

February 15, Gulmarg: Maha Shivratri was celebrated with great religious devotion and reverence at the historic Shiva temple located at the tourist destination of Gulmarg. From early morning, a large number of tourists and devotees thronged the temple and paid their respects on this auspicious occasion.

On the occasion, the Indian Army and the Dharmarth Trust organized a communal meal (langar) for the devotees. Personnel from the High Altitude Warfare School actively distributed the langar among the visiting devotees, fostering a spirit of service and harmony.

Visitors offered special prayers at the temple and expressed their happiness at celebrating Shivratri at the shrine, situated amidst the scenic beauty of Gulmarg. Many expressed that their joy was doubled by observing the sacred festival in what they described as paradise.

The devotees and tourists also praised the natural beauty and hospitality of Kashmir, stating that the peaceful celebration reflected the region's rich spiritual and cultural ethos.
