Mumbai, Feb 15 Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor praised filmmaker Aditya Dhar’s hit film, “Dhurandhar”, calling it his “favorite” movie.

The film, released on December 5, 2025, starred Ranveer Singh in the lead role alongside Akshay Khanna, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.

The film broke numerous records and became the highest-grossing single-language Hindi film in India, with Indian net collections exceeding Rs 1,000 crore.

Kapoor went live on Instagram on Saturday through his lifestyle brand, Ark’s, account, interacting with fans and followers. When asked about the film, Kapoor praised the project, stating that the entire cast delivered a commendable performance.

“The last movie I really enjoyed was ‘Dhurandhar’, and I absolutely loved it. The entire cast and crew did a fantastic job. It was a great experience,” the actor said.

“I’m really enjoying the music from ‘Dhurandhar’, which is amazing,” he added.

Set in Pakistan’s Lyari town, the film revolves around an Indian spy, played by Ranveer Singh, who infiltrates a local gang of criminals and arms dealers. The makers are also planning to release the sequel on March 19.

Kapoor also discussed his upcoming projects and expansion plans for his brand. He said that after a three-year wait, he will have back-to-back movie releases, starting with “Ramayana” from Nitesh Tiwari this Diwali.

“My next release is ‘Ramayana’, which will be released during Diwali, followed by ‘Love & War’. These are my next two projects. I’ve been working very hard on these,” he said.

Kapoor said working on “Love & War,” which reunites him with acclaimed filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, has been an “amazing experience.” “It’s incredible to see a director with four decades of experience still at the top of his game. It’s truly special,” the 43-year-old actor said, without specifying the release date of “Love & War”.

“Ramayana” features Kapoor as Lord Ram, “KGF” star Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lord Lakshman.

In response to a query about the release of “Ramayana” coinciding with his daughter Raha’s birthday, Kapoor simply called it a “beautiful coincidence.”

“Love & War” also stars Kapoor’s wife, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal.

Speaking about the delayed release of his films, Kapoor, whose last work was Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s 2023 film “Animal”, said, “Good things take time,” and added that he hopes audiences will enjoy those films when they are released.

“It’s my bad luck that when I start a movie, people usually finish it in four to six months, but my films take a long time. I hope that when it releases, you all will forget the time it took. But I assure you that I am working very hard on these projects for two to three years.”

Kapoor also mentioned that he will soon begin work on “Brahmastra” and “Animal 2”.

“‘Brahmastra 2’ is in the works, and we should start shooting soon. ‘Animal Park’ will start in mid-next year,” he informed.

Responding to a fan query about the possibility of “Rockstar 2” and “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani 2”, Kapoor said not every film can be a sequel.

“Many of you want part two of my films, but there are newer stories and directors to work with,” he said, adding, “I don’t think we’ve cracked a script for ‘Rockstar 2’ yet. But if Imtiaz Ali (director) develops a good script to continue the story of Jordan, it will be exciting.”

On “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani 2”, Kapoor said, “The film had a perfect ending, so I don’t think it needs a sequel. But maybe another film with a similar genre will come out, which you guys will hopefully enjoy.”

On his brand, ARKS, Kapoor said he hopes it becomes a popular and loved brand.

“It’s not easy to start a brand. It’s been a year, and the intention is to make it a global brand that targets all kinds of consumers who like style, luxury, and comfort. But opening a store is an expensive thing, according to my team, so for now, you can all buy online,” the actor said.
