Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, May 15—The Tuljapur Temple Trust in Maharashtra's Dharashiv district has disciplined 12 priests of the revered Tulja Bhavani Temple for various violations, including breaches of discipline, inappropriate conduct, and disregard for temple regulations.

According to an official statement issued on Thursday, the punitive measures have been implemented since November last year. The Trust, which is chaired by the Dharashiv District Collector, barred the priests from entering the temple premises for 15 days to six months, depending on the severity of their actions.

The Tulja Bhavani Temple, dedicated to the goddess Tulja Bhavani, is one of Maharashtra's most prominent pilgrimage sites, attracting thousands of devotees annually. The action against the priests marks a significant step by the temple administration in enforcing discipline and maintaining the sanctity of the temple rituals and operations.
