The District Magistrate of Jammu has issued an order to regulate the operation of spa and massage centers in the district, with the objective of preventing the misuse of these establishments for unlawful and immoral activities.
According to the order, the installation of CCTV cameras is mandatory in all spa and massage centers. Business operations are restricted to fixed hours, from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm. The order also strictly prohibits the employment of individuals under the age of 18 and restricts the presence of female employees during night hours.
To ensure effective implementation of these directives, the police and other designated inspecting authorities have been instructed to conduct periodic inspections of these establishments. Any violation of the prescribed norms will be subject to strict legal action.
The District Magistrate emphasized that these measures are aimed at maintaining public order, ensuring safety, and preventing illegal activities, while allowing legitimate businesses to operate within a regulated framework.
