Mumbai, February 14 – Actress Sandeepa Dhar, who is eagerly awaiting the release of her upcoming film ‘Do Deewane Seher Mein’, has revealed that her character in the film has changed her perspective on life.
The actress shared a series of pictures from the film with co-star Mrunal Thakur on her Instagram on Saturday. She also wrote a lengthy note in which she discussed how her character taught her that comparison steals joy.
She wrote, "'Look at your brother/sister, how well they are', just this sentence alone probably triggered something within you. Who hasn't been compared to their sibling, cousin, or even a friend at some point in their life? The "Sharma ji ka beta" meme didn't appear out of nowhere. I didn't realize the impact of being "the favourite" until I played the role of a sister-sister dynamic that felt very personal."
She further added, "In 'Do Deewane Seher Mein', Naina and Roshni are caught in this vicious cycle. Roshni is told that she's not enough, while Naina is told that she's too much. Playing Naina taught me that comparison steals joy. Naina feels the pressure to maintain an impossibly high standard. Roshni feels like she will never measure up. This turns siblings into rivals. It makes love conditional. It creates wounds that take years to heal. Parents, teachers, relatives – they have no idea. A casual "be like your sister" at the dinner table can become a persistent voice in your head. When you were growing up, were you Naina or Roshni?"
‘Do Deewane Seher Mein’ also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ayesha Raza. The film, produced by Zee Studios, Bhansali Productions, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Prerna Singh, Umesh Kumar Bansal and Bharat Kumar Ranga in association with Ravi Udyawar Films, is set to release on February 20, 2026.
