Doda, February 14: A one-day capacity-building and awareness program on the Integrated Disease Surveillance Program (IDSP) was organized at the Government Nursing College, Doda, on Friday to strengthen grassroots disease surveillance.

Organized by the District Surveillance Unit under the District Health Society, the program focused on early detection, reporting, and response to health events, as well as improving coordination between local bodies and the Health Department.

The event was attended by Chairman of the District Development Council, Doda, Dhananter Singh Kotwal; Vice Chairperson Sangeeta Bhagat; and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Tanveer Ahmed Rather, along with local representatives and health workers. Experts conducted technical sessions on outbreak preparedness and surveillance systems.

Kotwal praised the initiative and assured support for strengthening public health measures in the district.
