Dom Hetrakul to Star as Villain in Thai Crime-Horror Film Debt Sentence

Dom Hetrakul to feature in 'Debt Sentence'.webp

Los Angeles, May 11 — Acclaimed actor Dom Hetrakul, known globally for his role in The White Lotus, is set to headline the upcoming Thai crime-horror film Debt Sentence, currently in production and slated for release in 2026.

According to a report by Variety, the feature is based on the viral short film How to Run Away From Your Debt. The film marks the directorial debut of Warun Siriprachai and brings together a gripping narrative blending psychological horror with a murder mystery.

The cast also includes Yasaka Chaisorn and Sawanee Utoomma. Chaisorn plays the central character, Suchart, a man devastated by the brutal murder of his wife and son in their apartment. As suspicion quickly turns toward him, Suchart sets out to clear his name and uncover the real killer—portrayed by Dom Hetrakul.

Director Warun Siriprachai, who also plays the role of Suchart’s slain wife in the film, brings her storytelling vision from short-form to full-length cinema for the first time.

With Debt Sentence, the Thai film industry takes a bold step into genre cinema, fusing intense psychological drama with chilling suspense, and Hetrakul’s presence is expected to add a powerful dynamic to the film’s villainous arc.

The movie is scheduled to hit screens in 2026.
