Dubai, May 14—The fourth edition of the DP World International League T20 (ILT20) will commence on December 2, coinciding with the UAE National Day (Eid-Al-Etihad). This will mark a symbolic and strategic start to the premier cricket tournament, which will conclude on January 4, 2026.
Organisers announced the revised schedule on Wednesday, noting that the league has moved from its traditional January-February window to avoid clashing with the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, which is slated for February-March 2026.
Dubai Capitals, the reigning champions, secured their title in the previous edition with a dramatic last-over victory against Desert Vipers.
“We are delighted to confirm that the DP World International League T20 Season 4 will commence on the UAE National Day – Eid-Al-Etihad – which is one of the most important days on the UAE calendar,” said the ILT20 chairman and vice-chairman of the Emirates Cricket Board in an official statement.
ILT20 CEO David White highlighted that the date shift followed detailed discussions with key stakeholders, ensuring maximum participation and global viewership.
The last season of ILT20 featured an impressive line-up of international T20 stars, including Sam Curran, Shai Hope, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, David Warner, and Rashid Khan, underlining the tournament's growing stature in global cricket.
The upcoming edition is expected to maintain the high standard of competition and entertainment that has become synonymous with the ILT20.
