Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh – March 3: A tragic accident claimed the life of a 65-year-old e-rickshaw driver when his vehicle overturned near Kadipur Khurd village on the Chanda-Kadipur road on Monday afternoon.
According to local police, the deceased, identified as Murli Nishad, was driving towards Kadipur when he lost control of his e-rickshaw, causing it to overturn. Nishad sustained severe injuries due to the impact.
Residents of the area immediately responded to the accident and rushed Nishad to the nearby community health centre in Kadipur. However, medical officials at the centre declared him dead upon arrival.
The body of the deceased has been sent for a post-mortem examination, police confirmed, adding that an investigation into the exact circumstances of the accident is underway.
