New Delhi, May 15 – The Election Commission of India held a key interaction with senior leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), including party convenor Arvind Kejriwal, as part of its ongoing outreach initiative with national political parties. This engagement aims to gather feedback and address concerns related to the electoral process.
AAP became the fifth national party to participate in this consultative dialogue, following similar interactions with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Communist Party of India (Marxist), and the National People's Party.
Joining Kejriwal in the meeting were senior AAP leaders Saurabh Bhardwaj and N D Gupta. The delegation met with Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi to share the party’s views on electoral matters.
This stakeholder outreach is part of the Election Commission’s broader initiative to ensure transparency, inclusivity, and trust in the democratic process.
