Embassy REIT Partners with Bangalore Metro for Kadubeesanahalli Metro Station Development

Bengaluru, March 3 – The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) and Embassy REIT have officially entered into a Definitive Agreement for the construction of the Kadubeesanahalli Metro Station as part of the Outer Ring Road (ORR) line under Phase-2A of the Bangalore Metro Rail project, officials announced on Monday.

Vikas Telecom Private Limited (VTPL), a subsidiary of Embassy REIT, will invest ₹100 crore in building the Kadubeesanahalli Metro Station. As part of the agreement, BMRCL has granted Naming Rights to Embassy REIT for 30 years, along with opportunities for advertising, commercial space, and direct connectivity. The station will be named ‘Embassy TechVillage Kadubeesanahalli Metro Station’, according to an official BMRCL statement.

Strategic Role of the ORR Metro Line

The Kadubeesanahalli Metro Station is a crucial part of the 17-km ORR line, which comprises 16 stations stretching from Central Silk Board to KR Pura. The development of this metro corridor is expected to provide a sustainable and efficient transit option for Bengaluru residents and commuters, reducing traffic congestion on Outer Ring Road and minimizing vehicular pollution.

Officials Highlight Metro’s Importance

M Maheshwar Rao, Managing Director of BMRCL, emphasized the significance of the ORR corridor in Bengaluru’s urban transit network.

"The ORR corridor is a vital mobility route, connecting key commercial hubs, office parks, and residential areas. Such partnerships accelerate infrastructure growth, and we look forward to working together to enhance metro accessibility and sustainability in the city," Rao said.
Echoing similar sentiments, Embassy REIT CEO Ritwik Bhattacharjee expressed optimism about the project’s impact.

"We are delighted to collaborate with BMRCL for the development of the Kadubeesanahalli Metro Station on ORR. At Embassy REIT, we are committed to strengthening Bengaluru’s urban infrastructure through strategic, long-term investments in mobility solutions. This metro project will help in easing traffic congestion and promoting greater public transport usage," Bhattacharjee stated.

Boosting Public Transport and Infrastructure Growth

The partnership between BMRCL and Embassy REIT underscores the increasing role of private investment in urban mobility solutions. With Bengaluru’s expanding population and traffic challenges, projects like the ORR Metro Line are expected to enhance connectivity, reduce travel time, and support environmental sustainability.

The Kadubeesanahalli Metro Station is set to play a pivotal role in streamlining Bengaluru’s transit ecosystem, reinforcing the city's push towards a more efficient and eco-friendly transportation network.
