Erode, Feb 5 (PTI) – Voter turnout in the Erode East Assembly constituency bypoll was recorded at around 11 percent during the first two hours of polling on Wednesday, election officials reported.
Polling commenced at 7 AM, and by 9 AM, 10.95 percent of eligible voters had cast their ballots, according to District Collector and District Election Officer Raja Gopal Sunkara.
Election authorities also noted that the initial hours of voting saw a notable presence of male voters, with the entire process remaining peaceful and free from any untoward incidents.
