
February 11, New Delhi — Indian and Nepali strategic experts met in Kathmandu to discuss strengthening Nepal-India security cooperation, emphasizing the role of Gorkha bravery, youth engagement, and expanding defense and societal partnerships. Speakers highlighted the historic military ties, noting that Gorkha bravery has been central to India's military strength and national security. They also emphasized that the Agniveer scheme is open to Nepali citizens to build disciplined and empowered youth. They further stressed that India-Nepal ties should go beyond government engagement, focusing on youth participation, technical cooperation, training opportunities for Nepal Army personnel, and initiatives in innovation, entrepreneurship, and cultural exchanges, emphasizing the growing role of youth in shaping political and strategic outcomes.
