In Jammu and Kashmir, as part of the J&K Police's Civic Action Programme, the Udhampur Police today launched a "Bharat Darshan" tour for young people from remote areas of the district. An Akashvani Jammu correspondent reports that the purpose of the tour is to provide these young people with the opportunity to understand the unity of India despite its vast diversity. DIG Udhampur-Resai Range, Sarah Rizvi (IPS), along with SSP Udhampur, Amod Nagpure (IPS), flagged off the Bharat Darshan tour of 87 young people selected from various areas of the Udhampur district. The program was launched from the District Police Lines (DPL) in Udhampur, with the presence of other senior police officers from the Udhampur District Police. During the five-day tour, participants will have the opportunity to experience various modes of transportation, including train and air travel. The tour will also include sightseeing in Delhi and Bangalore. The touring youth will visit places such as Rajghat, the Lotus Temple, the Indira Memorial, India Gate, the War Memorial, Teen Murti, and historic places in Bangalore, including the Museum, Bangalore Palace, and historic temples. During the event, DIG Sarah Rizvi emphasized that the touring youth should make the most of this opportunity and create lasting memories. She advised the youth to embrace the greatness of the country and spread its message through various media as ambassadors of the nation. People, and especially the parents of the touring youth, appreciated the efforts of the Udhampur Police in organizing such events, which are essential for protecting future generations from the dangers of drug abuse and other social evils.
