New Delhi, February 16 The Enforcement Directorate has imposed a penalty of Rs 184 crore under the FEMA against the news portal NewsClick and its editor-in-chief, Prabir Purkayastha, official sources said on Monday.
The order specifies that the company that owns the portal – PPK NEWSCLICK Studio Private Limited – has been penalized for an amount of Rs 120 crore, while Purkayastha has been issued a similar order for alleged violations amounting to Rs 64 crore, the sources told
