
Pune, February 11 After a flawless round, Tvesa Malik faced a challenging second round in the Women's Pro Golf Tour, slipping to second place here on Wednesday.
She scored 2-over par, with a total of 74, and fell behind Anvitha Narender (72).
Anvitha, who had scored 71 in the first round, followed up with an even par 72 in the second, taking the lead going into the final round.
Riya Jadon secured third place with a steady score of 72, featuring three birdies against three bogeys, while Nayanika Sanga (71), who had three birdies in the first seven holes, faltered with just one more bogey.
Anvitha started the round with a bogey, but birdies on the ninth and 11th holes helped her recover, although she dropped a shot on the 12th.
A birdie on the 16th and a bogey on the 17th concluded her round at even par.
Tvesa also had three birdies and three bogeys in her 74, along with a double bogey.
Ketaki Sood (71), Shagun Narain (74), and amateur Priya Kumari (75) were tied for fifth place with a score of 3-over par, 147.
Mannat Brar, one of the three players to score under par on the second day, and Ridhima Dilawari (73) were tied for eighth place.
Vani Kapoor (73), Khushi Khanijau (75), amateur Aradhana Manikandan (75), Karishma Govind (75), Durga Nittur (75), and Ananya Garg (76) were tied for tenth place.
The cut was at 154, and 24 professional golfers and 4 amateurs made it to the final round.
