Mumbai, March 1: A fire broke out in a residential apartment located on the fifth floor of a six-storey building in Mumbai's Ghatkopar East on Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred at around 12:45 pm in Vikas Apartment, situated just behind the Pant Nagar police station, according to a fire brigade official.

Firefighters swiftly responded to the scene, dispatching one fire engine and a water tanker to control the blaze. The firefighting operation was successful, and the fire was fully extinguished by 1:20 pm.

Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported from the incident. Authorities are yet to determine the cause of the fire.
