Kalaburagi, Karnataka — April 5, 2025: A tragic road accident near Nelogi Cross in Jewargi taluk claimed the lives of five people, including a 13-year-old girl, after a mini bus reportedly rammed into a stationary truck during the early hours of Saturday.
Accident Occurred During Pilgrimage Journey
The victims, all hailing from Bagalkote, were en route to a dargah in Kalaburagi district when the incident occurred around 3:30 AM. The truck involved in the accident was parked on the roadside due to a tyre puncture, and the driver was in the process of changing the tyre at the time.High Impact Crash Leaves Several Injured
According to Kalaburagi Superintendent of Police, A Srinivasulu, the mini bus collided with the rear of the truck, resulting in a severe impact that killed five passengers on the spot. Several others sustained injuries and have been shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
