Flair Writing Industries Receives CGST Order for FY 2020-21, Plans to Contest It

– Flair Writing Industries Limited (FWIL) has received an order from the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Uttarakhand, under Section 73 of the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Act, 2017, demanding tax payment for the financial year 2020-21.

According to the disclosure made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, the tax order, received on February 27, 2025, includes a total demand of ₹34.90 lakh, comprising ₹18.35 lakh in tax dues, ₹1.96 lakh in penalties, and ₹14.58 lakh in interest.

Despite the order, Flair Writing Industries Limited has assured that the impact on its financials and operations remains non-material. The company intends to challenge the demand, citing strong legal grounds, and will submit its response to the relevant authorities.

The development follows an earlier intimation by the company dated November 29, 2024. Flair Writing remains committed to resolving the matter while ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
