Nagpur, Feb 5 (PTI): A tragic accident claimed the life of a 22-year-old food delivery agent and left his friend seriously injured after a speeding car collided with their motorcycle in Nagpur city, Maharashtra, late on Monday night.
The incident occurred near Ajni Square, within the jurisdiction of Dhantoli police station. The two victims, identified as Chetan Rajeshwar Gawade, a delivery agent with the online food platform Zomato, and his 23-year-old companion, were on their way to deliver a parcel to Manewada when the car struck their motorcycle.
Following the collision, both individuals were rushed to Mayo Hospital. While the delivery agent, Chetan Rajeshwar Gawade, succumbed to his injuries, his friend remains hospitalized in serious condition, according to the police.
The driver of the car, 25-year-old Ajnan Izrar Hussain, a resident of Ajni Railway Quarters, was arrested in connection with the incident. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
