Mumbai, May 12 – The foreign exchange market in Mumbai will remain closed on Monday in observance of Buddha Purnima, a significant religious holiday commemorated across the country.
The closure is part of the scheduled public holidays recognized by financial markets, and trading activities will resume on the following working day.
Buddha Pournima, also known as Buddha Jayanti, marks the birth of Gautama Buddha and is observed with reverence by followers of Buddhism and across various parts of India.
