Four Killed, 19 Injured as Bus Collides with Truck on Agra-Lucknow Expressway

Agra, March 1 – A tragic accident on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway early Saturday morning claimed the lives of four people and left 19 others injured when a Varanasi-Jaipur bus rammed into a stationary truck, police said.

The accident occurred around 5:30 AM in the Fatehabad police station area of Agra. According to authorities, the bus crashed into the truck from behind, resulting in severe casualties.

ACP Fatehabad Amardeep Lal confirmed that the deceased individuals' bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. Among them, three have been identified as Govind (68) and Ramesh (45), both residents of Rajasthan, and Deepak Verma (40) from Agra. The identity of the fourth victim is yet to be determined.

Emergency services responded swiftly, transporting all injured passengers to hospitals. Four of them have been admitted to a private facility, while the remaining have been taken to a government hospital for treatment.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, and further details are awaited.
