New Delhi, Feb 28: Hostel management solutions provider FretBox is set for a significant expansion, aiming to triple its operations by 2025. The company plans to extend its reach to over 100 universities and assist approximately 1.25 lakh students through its AI-driven platform.

Since its launch in 2023, FretBox has rapidly gained traction, now operational in 35 universities across 13 states. The platform has experienced exponential growth, expanding its user base from 5,000 in March 2024 to 60,000 in February 2025.

FretBox offers a tech-driven hostel management system that enhances both student convenience and administrative efficiency. It facilitates faster complaint resolution, direct student feedback to university authorities, and automated leave approvals with parental consent. Additionally, the platform provides real-time tracking of hostel attendance, late entry monitoring, and security alerts, improving safety measures.

“FretBox aims to expand to 100+ universities by 2025, creating an ecosystem that enhances the university experience for students, wardens, and administrators,” said FretBox CEO Ashish Gupta.

The platform integrates with biometric devices and turnstile gates to ensure that only authorized students can access hostel premises. Furthermore, it offers digital meal booking, complaint resolution systems, and financial tracking to streamline hostel operations.

Looking ahead, Gupta envisions biometric-based hostel access and AI-powered security surveillance becoming standard features. Additionally, he anticipates a growing demand for automated hostel fee payments and financial tracking solutions for both students and universities.

With its AI-driven innovations and security-focused solutions, FretBox is set to revolutionize hostel management in India, ensuring a safer and more efficient environment for students and university administrators alike.
