Los Angeles, February 14 – Hollywood actress Joey King has a unique approach to makeup. The actress has shared that she focuses on her beauty routine from the inside out.
The 26-year-old actress says that her makeup style "constantly changes every day," but it stems from how she wants to feel, according to 'People' magazine.
She told 'People', "My current view of beauty is that it feels much more freeing for me. Five or six years ago, I thought, 'I need to wear makeup every day, I need to have a full face on,' and now I have a healthier relationship with it."
For the actress, this means "What do I feel like doing today (with my makeup)? What will make me happy today? And do I really feel like taking my makeup off tonight? No, I'm not going to wear any makeup tonight. So, now I'm just trying to figure out what I want to feel inside every day instead of just following a routine that I think I should follow by wearing a lot of makeup every day."
According to 'People', when it comes to the looks she likes now, King's inspiration spans decades, but she definitely loves the 2016 glam look, even if she prefers a more effortless approach.
"We were really focusing on thick eyebrows and heavy foundation. I really loved that era. But I also really love where we've ended up now, with a more natural look and glossy skin," she shared.
She appreciates that she can be "spontaneous" and respond to how she feels in the moment. "Some days I wake up and I have a lot of errands to run, and I don't feel like wearing any makeup, so I just do my skincare routine and then I'm out the door. And then some days I'm like, 'I want to wear sparkly eyeshadow'," she added.
