New Delhi, February 9 Aluminium prices rose by nearly 0.71 per cent on Monday to Rs 318.75 per kg in futures trading, as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in March increased by Rs 2.25, or 0.71 per cent, to Rs 318.75 per kilogram in 107 lots.
Analysts said that fresh positions created by traders, supported by demand from consuming industries, drove up aluminium prices in the futures market.
