Mumbai, February 17 – Actor Gourav Adarsh has admitted that his latest film, "Tu Ya Main," has had a slow start at the box office, but he has also expressed gratitude for the love and support he has received. Gourav also praised his co-star, Shanaya Kapoor, calling her "authentic and vulnerable," and revealed that she surprised the team on set with her performance.
Sharing powerful stills from "Tu Ya Main," Gourav discussed his role as Maruti and reflected on the film's reception. He wrote:
"Tu Ya Main came at a time when I was feeling confused and helpless. But when I walked out of @abzeebandekar's office, hearing his incredible narration, I knew I had to be Maruti."
He added, "What was it about him that felt so personal to me? Maybe his desire to break free and find his identity. Something about a character who knows where he comes from and doesn't shy away from it. Would I ever be able to walk up to someone and share my fears with them? Probably not. But maybe that's what I wanted to be. Maruti gave me the opportunity to be who I always admired. I wanted to be his friend the moment I read about him."
He also expressed his admiration for director Bejoy Nambiar.
"I've been a big fan of Bejoy since day one. His films and the challenging situations his characters often find themselves in are something I admire. Thank you, @bejoynambiar, for including me in this film and for believing in me as Maruti. And @aanandlrai, I can't thank you enough for supporting me and always being such a calm and supportive producer."
Gourav also praised Shanaya Kapoor, writing, "@shanayakapoor02 surprised all of us on set. I saw her fully embrace the role and the situation. She was so real and vulnerable. Thank you for bringing believability to Avni and for being the best co-star, both on and off set. It was great shooting with @ansh too. He's an amazing actor and a great person, and I can't wait to see what he does next."

The film "Tu Ya Main" is directed by Bejoy Nambiar and produced by Aanand L Rai. It stars Gourav Adarsh and Shanaya Kapoor in the lead roles, alongside Ansh in a supporting role.
