The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has appointed the Union Territory-Level Nodal Officer in connection with the 8th Pay Commission. Akashvani Jammu correspondent reports that the order, issued vide Circular No. 01-JK(GAD) of 2026, dated January 7, 2026, and signed by the Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, designates the Administrative Secretary of the Finance Department as the Union Territory-Level Nodal Officer for coordinating and liaising with the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, regarding the implementation of the recommendations of the 8th Pay Commission. The order was issued by the General Administration Department under the authority of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir.
