Mainpuri/Mirzapur (UP), February 8 Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said on Sunday that the Union Budget 2026-27 will be a significant milestone for 'Developed India' by 2047.

"The Union Budget has been formulated with the interests of the poorest, women, farmers, the youth, laborers, and the middle class in mind, to ensure their prosperity...This budget will be a milestone for 'Developed India by 2047," Singh told

This budget places special emphasis on giving a new impetus to tourism in Uttar Pradesh and the country, promoting spiritual, cultural, and eco-tourism, strengthening infrastructure, and generating local employment, Singh said, adding that this will play a crucial role in realizing the vision of a 'Developed Uttar Pradesh' and 'Developed India'.

He also said that the Uttar Pradesh government is committed to providing better healthcare, education, and facilities to farmers to enable them to get better support prices for their agricultural produce.

Speaking to reporters in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh's Minister of Technical Education and Consumer Affairs, Ashish Patel, said that the budget is productivity-enhancing and aims to benefit the middle class, address unemployment, support farmers, and improve the lives of ordinary people.

On the provisions made for agriculture in the budget, Patel said that attention has been given to the processing of pulses and oilseed crops and high-yielding seeds.
